We offer several scholarships to students who transfer from another institution. As you progress through your program, several more scholarships may become available

Apply for Scholarships

Apply for competitive scholarships through UMKC’s online application, open from October 1 to March 1. You must be admitted to UMKC in order to apply, and some competitive scholarships may have a different deadline or require an interview.

  • Scholarships are awarded annually
  • Half of the award is applied in the Fall, and the remainder is applied in Spring
  • Most scholarships do not apply to Summer enrollment

By completing the online competitive scholarship application, you will also be considered for university-wide automatic scholarships such as the Chancellor's Transfer Award, which awards recipients $2,000 plus nonresident tuition differential.

KC Urban Renewal Engineering Fellow Program

For Metropolitican Community College students planning to major in civil or mechanical engineering, UMKC is part of the KC Urban Renewal Engineering (KCURE) Fellow program.
