UMKC's five-year, 150 credit hour architecture program prepares students for a career in the design fields. This program allows students to engage with a variety of firms and organizations near UMKC's urban home. As our goal is to become an accredited program, we are currently preparing our eligibility materials for the National Architecture Accreditation Board (NAAB).

This certificate program was designed in accordance with the standards from the National Council for Preservation Education, the highest standard for historic preservation education.
This non-credit, two-day course is modeled after a collegiate architectural design seminar where students learn about design fields through simple design projects, slideshows and discussions, as well as tour important design sites near campus.
The Architecture and Urban Planning programs enjoy the support of a dedicated advisory board that assists in furthering the goals of the programs, engage the university leadership, support and participate in various academic functions and provide financial assistance.
