About

Ion channels, membrane transporters and receptors constitute more than 60% of current drug targets. With cutting-edge single-molecule fluorescence and other multidisciplinary approaches, research in my laboratory focuses on uncovering the structural and functional dynamics of these important membrane proteins in their native membrane environments. The goal is to understand the fundamental mechanisms underlying their function and modulation, and ultimately, to develop novel therapeutic approaches for the diseases associated with them.

My lab welcomes strongly self-motivated individuals from all fields of biology, in particular protein biochemistry and biophysics.
