Professor Peng joined UMKC in 1998 as an assistant professor. He was promoted to associate professor with tenure in 2001, full professor in 2003, and Curator’s Distinguished Professor in 2014. He was a postdoctoral research associate at Bell Laboratory from 1997-1998.
The Peng Research Group focuses on the development of functional organic, inorganic, polymeric, and hybrid materials for optoelectronic and biomedical applications.
