About

I have always been drawn to understanding how biological system develop. Over the course of my career I have had the opportunity to work with a variety of model organisms, from cuttlefish to mice. I chose to focus my research on nervous system development using zebrafish as a model system. My lab studies how sensory system arise in the developing embryo and how cells are regenerated following damage. The ultimate goal of this research is provide an understanding of basic biology that will serve as a foundation for human medicine.
