Dr. Hoober teaches general chemistry and physical chemistry lab and works as a faculty mentor for undergraduate chemistry majors. She joined UMKC as an Assistant Teaching Professor in 2017. Dr. Hoober-Burkhardt received her Ph.D. from the University of Southern California and her B.A. degree from Princeton University. Her research was focused primarily on the electrochemical design of redox-active molecules for large-scale energy storage devices. She grew up in Kansas City, and enjoys being back in her hometown!
