Dr. Amy Christiansen is an atmospheric chemist whose expertise lies in global chemical transport modeling and data analysis of national and international air quality monitoring information. She holds a Ph.D. in Chemistry from the University of California, Irvine, and completed a postdoctoral appointment at the University of Montana. Dr. Christiansen’s research interests focus on numerical modeling and data analysis, specifically employing long-term atmospheric measurements to understand pollutant trends and improve model simulations of atmospheric chemistry. Her favorite science is that which connects the chemical to the human: exploring the connections between atmospheric chemistry and climate change, public health, and environmental justice.
